Welcome to Ian’s Place!
He has sparkling blue eyes and a fierce grin that can literally pierce us to the heart with its intensity. He can hug and show affection and speak many different words. When he gets excited he jumps up and down and gallops around the room with boundless energy. He has a fascination with tapping objects and toys– he might tap two drumsticks together, the soles of two shoes, or tap books and toys against the wall, delighting in the noise and the feel and vibration. He will squeal with delight and hum rhythmically while circling the room and tapping. He loves tickle games and tumbling, airplane and piggy back rides. He also loves playing with water and making foamy bubbles to squish and touch. He does not answer questions, like “What is your name?” and “How old are you?” He does not express in words how he feels. He does not often play with other children. Oh, but that smile! And those eyes that look right into ours with trust and love. He is Ian. He is our son. He is autistic.

Pam and Ian
This website is dedicated to our unique and special son, Ian. Here you can learn more about Ian and his world and his special in-home therapy program called Son-Rise®. This therapy has helped Ian connect with his loved ones and others around him in deep and meaningful ways. His Son-Rise therapy has also taught us to see into his world and appreciate him for who he is and accept and love him unconditionally. We hope you enjoy learning more and welcome you on the journey…..
Best Wishes: Ian’s Parents, Pam and Stan
